When Goldilocks went into the bears house she observed or sensed different types of porridges of different temperatures. She thought about what she saw. In other words she inferred that one of the porridges was hot because she saw steam. She set up her experiment with an independent variable,which is the variable that you will change. So she decided to change on purpose the temperatures of the porridge.She changed the porridge from 100 degrees to 65 degrees to 0 degrees. These were her levels of IV.Goldilocks is investigating the DV, which is the temperature of the porridge that she would like best. The DV is the dependent variable and is the measurement. We are going to measure this by how Goldilocks likes the porridge. The units of measurement would be good, bad,and awful. A unit of measurement is a type of measurement and you usually use a ruler, a thermometer, or a stopwatch. In this experiment, we used a rating scale. The constant is the type of porridge and the bowl that the porridge was in. A constant is something that stays the same. The purpose of this investigation is to determine the effects of the temperature of the porridge on which porridge Goldilocks likes.
